Nora Dodd Elmore

PRINCETON - Nora Dodd Elmore, 97, of the Glenwood Park Retirement Village in Princeton, formerly of 203 Park Ave., died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at her residence.

Born in Beckley Dec. 13,1906 she was the daughter of the late William Bailey and Anna Mae Phillips Harris. She was retired from the Celanese Corporation in Pearisburg, Va., and formerly worked in retail sales for several dress shops in Princeton. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Princeton where she attended the Holliday Sunday School Class and served in the United Methodist Women and the Rise and Shine Circle.

Her husband, Clarence Elmore; and one son, Newman 'Bones' Dodd preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Edie Carr of Princeton; four grandchildren, Pam C. Payne and husband, Ted of Upper Montclair, N.J., Belinda C. Ward and husband, Bob of Charlotte, N.C., Kathryn C. Kuntz and husband, Ned of Atlanta, Ga., and Bobby Dodd of Princeton; five great grandchildren, Angie Lovelace and husband Benjamin, Paige Ward, Alex Payne, Philip Kuntz and Charlie Kuntz; daughter-in-law, Peggy Dodd of Princeton; and special friend, Nita Carr of Princeton.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at noon on Tuesday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with the Rev. Randy Adkins officiating. Burial will follow.

Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 11 a.m. until the service hour on Tuesday.

Those attending the services are asked to meet at the funeral home by 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
